OKTOBERFEST ACTIVITIES

MEN'S and women's STEINHOLDING competition

The Stein Holding Competition is back by popular demand!

There is NO cost to participate, but you must complete the online order process to reserve your spot. This competition will take place at Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 25th. Competitors must have an Oktoberfest 21+ wrist band to participate.

Each heat will have a maximum of 5 participants. The winner from each heat will need to be present for the championship round at 5:30 PM. Winner of the overall competition will receive their own "Das Boot."

RULES

Stein must be gripped by the handle.
The thumb may not rest on top of the stein handle, it must rest on the other fingers.
The pinkie finger may be held outside of the handle.
Arching of the back is allowable, BUT excessive forward or backward leaning is unacceptable.
Leaning to the left or right side is unacceptable.
Stein must be held out directly in front of the competitor, not out to the side.
The arm holding the stein must remain close to parallel with the GROUND and should be extended straight with no bending at the elbow.
The arm holding the stein should remain separated from the chest of the competitor. The chest may not be used as a shelf to support the arm.
The HAND THAT IS NOT HOLDING THE STEIN should remain at the competitor's side or back and may not touch or support the arm holding the stein.
Competitors may not contact any other structures, objects, or people during the competition.
Competitors must stand within their personal area and should not move more than is necessary to make adjustments ensuring proper form during the competition.
An infraction of any rule will result in a strike. After two strikes, the third infraction results in elimination of the competitor.
If any amount of beer spills or drips off of the stein, the competitor is eliminated, regardless of the number of strikes previously assigned.

MS. OKTOBERFEST COMPETITION

NEXT MS. OKTOBERFEST?

This year we will be crowning a Ms. Oktoberfest for the third year in a row! This event is FREE to participate in and we are looking for three contestants that will compete in the following categories:

1. Best dirndl or German outfit

2. Beer Palate: Ability to identify Oktoberfest beers through a blind taste test

3. German Pronunciation: Ability to pronounce three German words

Winners will receive a prize and title of Miss or Ms. Oktoberfest! This contest will be judged by a panel of judges. This competition will take place at 12:00 PM. and WINNERS will be announced at 12:45 PM.

*You must be 21 or older to participate in this contest* Competitors must have an Oktoberfest 21+ wrist band to participate.
